DEDICATED TO THE FURTHERANCE OF THE WRITTEN WORD

Desert Road is  proud to announce that it's first published book, The Yale Diaries, is December's Book of the Month at All Books Review.

LONG TIME COMIN' launches December 29th, 2008!

LONG TIME COMIN' by David Miguel Estrada
A Southern drama, the play is set in Tennessee and is about two friends (Rick and Dan) who haven't seen each other in fifteen years. Dan is angry at Rick for having run off with his wife while Rick has had a self-described "Saul on the road to Damascus" spiritual awakening and is looking to make amends. When Rick shows up at Dan's door will they be able to put their differences aside and become friends again?  When Caroline shows up at Dan's door will it be the last time she comes between them?

THE YALE DIARIES by David Miguel Estrada
"The Yale Diaries" is a political comedy about the unlikely friendship between George W. Bush and John Kerry at Yale University. The year is 1966. Kerry and Bush have taken an immediate disliking to one another.   Little do they know they share something quite unique, something that will assuredly make all problems they may have in the future completely trivial. There is an inextricable bond between them and that bond is the Skull & Bones Society.  When Margaret Lerner, a Yale undergraduate, dies suspiciously, will George and John become good friends by concealing the truth of her murder?

YOU AIN'T NO JOHNNY CASH  by David Miguel Estrada

This Southwestern drama is the story of Cody Luther, an aging country singer who cut short his career in the 1980's and left for Mexico after his wife cheated on him with Willie Nelson. Luther moves back to his hometown of Lubbock, Texas, where he reconnects with his ex-wife, Diana May, eventually rekindling the romance they once had. After a brawl over a jukebox song, Cody is forced to attend court-appointed therapy sessions. Does he actually suffer from clinical depression or is he just a lonely old country singer?
